Hi There, Pretty Lady! Yup, I am an infinite being, living in an infinite space. Further, everything in the world is here for me. Fun stuff to play with.

Reminded me of the following from Ernest Holmes:

“You belong to the universe in which you live, you are one with the Creative Genius back of this vast array of ceaseless motion, this original flow of life. You are as much a part of it as the sun, the earth and the air. There is something in you telling you this – like a voice echoing from some mountaintop of inward vision, like a light whose origin no man has seen, like an impulse welling up from an invisible source.

As Holmes said (more or less), Source is everything, and Source creates everything that exists out of Itself… for what else could It use?

Beautiful post, Karen. I’ve been deeply saddened by the suicides of five young men in the States, all victims of homophobia. I’m fortunate to be part of a very inclusive group of friends, for whom sexual preferences are a non-issue. And I’m happy to be in a country that recognizes marital rights for same-sex couples. But too many people, even in this country, are the butt of misunderstanding and fear. Until that changes, I will continue to speak out at every opportunity.

As I was walking back from town yesterday, I saw smoke across the lake. As soon as I got home, I called friends who live near there and offered them a bed should they need to evacuate.

There are times when we have to bring our focus from the larger picture back down to the immediate and urgent. But your thought-provoking post (as beautifully written as always) is a good reminder that holding our focus on the immediate can keep us occupied while obscuring the larger context. It’s easy to fall into the trap of being too “busy” to pay attention.
